NYC foreclosures up in 2nd quarter
New York City's second quarter foreclosure rate was up 4.8 percent from the first quarter, and 49.2 percent compared to last year's second quarter, according to PropertyShark.com's quarterly report. One and two-family residences in Queens and Brooklyn had the highest number of scheduled auctions. All of the boroughs saw increases in foreclosures, except Staten Island, which saw a 30 percent decrease in foreclosures compared to last quarter. TRD
