The Buildings Department offers stability, career growth and an opportunity to make a difference.  Our engineers, architects, inspectors and support staff are critical to enforcing safe construction practices.  We evaluate construction plans.  We enforce the laws that protect people from dangers they can’t always see.  We investigate injuries and accidents and find ways to make New York City construction even safer.  We’re strengthening our team and encourage seasoned New York State registered architects and licensed engineers to join our Department.  Together, we’ll make New York City an even better place to build, work and live.
